About Ross Madden Law

Ross McLauran Madden, JD, received his law degree from the University of San Francisco School of Law in 1979, and is a member of the State Bar of California and the American Bar Association. In addition to his private practice, he has taught corporate law, estate planning, probate law, and taxation.

Since admission to the California Bar in 1980, Mr. Madden has practiced in the areas of real estate law, probate and trust law, estate planning, as well as maintaining a general law practice. Since 1990, he has also worked as a mediator, and, more recently, as an arbitrator.

Mr. Madden has an LLM graduate law degree in dispute resolution from Pepperdine University’s Straus Institute for Dispute Resolution. He is also the past co-leader of the Nepal Team for Mediators Beyond Borders International, which has cooperated with the Nepal Mediators' Society to further and improve mediation in Nepal.

Mr. Madden’s book, “The Three Poisons: A Buddhist Guide To Conflict Resolution,” is available on Amazon and other on-line vendors. The book explains how Buddhist principles and practices can be used to resolve internal and interpersonal conflict by allowing the participants to see what is actually occurring, and who their “opponents” really are, thereby freeing themselves from attachment to the conflict.
